Make sure you eat and digest before hand and will be ready for your shoot. Careful when eating colored foods that will stain your lips. Make sure bladders are emptied prior to the shoot. Drink water 24 hours prior to shoot, soda and other drinks may bloat you.
To achieve the best images, please do not stand behind your photographer or on the side while they are shooting trying to get others to smile. While you think this will help, it does the opposite. The one(s) in front of the camera will be looking at you and not where they should be. This causes distractions. PLEASE do not have your cell phone camera or any other camera shooting during the session, again it’s distracting to the one who’s in front of the camera.
Soon to be mommy’s, get plenty of rest. To eliminate swollen ankles, legs etc. Bring water to stay hydrated during shoot.
Have all your wardrobes cleaned and ready, I do NOT edit clothing that is either dirty, torn or wet without charging additional cost. Have your wardrobe free from lint and hair. Feel free to bring a lint roller. It lengthens the time of correcting images, causing extra time that you will receive your images. I DO NOT edit your size (weight or height). Please wear clothing that is flattering to your own style. It will be your day to shine!! If you have several outfits, please make sure that you have them in a safe place while we are shooting.
Properly groom nails (toes and fingers). Haircuts should be done a week prior. Just in case there’s an “oops” from the stylist. Bring a hair brush and make-up for touch ups. Bring lip balm if you have dry lips. Bring wipes for the little ones that have runny noses. Bring a hand towel to blot sweat, if need be. Tissue paper leaves small lint particles in your photos. Bring hair clips if you think the wind will be blowing to assist, if need be.
Bring a favorite toy to the shoot to help ease your little one. Some sessions are shorter and time is essential. A happy baby/toddler makes things flow smoother.
If you see ideas in magazines, etc. that really attract your attention, feel free to bring those clipping or phone pics to your session. Never hesitate to share your ideas with me. Feel free to bring any props.
Remember that lighting is essential. There needs to be proper lighting during the session. Please schedule adequate times that will allow for this. We can always discuss this to help plan your session.
Also, put keys, purses, sunglasses etc out of site in the photos. Unless you’re wanting a natural session with these items placed in your images. ALSO, to help avoid squinting during your session, please refrain from wearing sunglasses 30 minutes prior so that your eyes can adjust to the lighting. Make it comfortable for you and your eyes, prepare!
Glasses will sometimes leave reflections of the scenery, or even myself. If you are worried about this, you’re more than welcome to place your glasses to the side, once you’re comfortable with taking them off.
Locations will vary depending on the theme of the session. I will travel about 30 minutes around the Myrtle Beach, SC area. I do charge more for travel time outside of this area. I also charge extra if there is more than one location needed.
Images will be available approximately 2-3 weeks after the session, some may take longer, depending on the event and length of the session or the amount of people in the session.
I purge session images after 6 months. Please keep your images in a safe place, so that you’ll have them for years to come.
Remember we will need to reschedule if you are more than 15 minutes late.
For theme shoots:
Locations will vary depending on the theme of the sessions. Please give adequate time for your child(ren) to change into costumes. **Accessories are included in sessions, as well as props**
